Protecting Family Healthcare Decisions in New Hampshire
Status: Pending
New Hampshire’s HB 377 would ban medical care for transgender adolescents and take away parents’ freedom to make health care decisions for their transgender child.
The bill is a clear example of extreme government overreach into the private lives of New Hampshire families. Parents—not politicians—should decide what care their children need, with support from medical professionals who follow well-established standards of care.
Parents have an obligation to support the health and well-being of their children—but HB 377 would make that impossible for the families of transgender adolescents.
The legislation is on it’s way to Governor Ayotte. Make sure she gets the message that Granite Staters want her to veto HB 377 and uphold the state’s bedrock values of freedom and fairness.
Take action now: Tell Governor Ayotte to veto this dangerous bill!
