挑戰耶魯紐黑文健康中心和康乃狄克兒童醫療中心拒絕提供醫療服務的行為

十名康乃狄克州居民和家庭就耶魯紐黑文醫療中心和康乃狄克州兒童醫療中心突然終止為跨性別青少年和青年提供醫療服務一事提起訴訟。這兩家醫院系統於2025年7月下旬突然停止為19歲以下的跨性別患者提供必要的醫療服務，令患者及其家長震驚不已，許多家庭不得不緊急尋找其他途徑，以確保子女的後續治療，避免嚴重的健康風險。沒有任何聯邦政策強制要求醫院採取這項行動。.  

In partnership with counsel Kevin Barry, we filed complaints with the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) on December 16, 2025, challenging the termination of care under Connecticut nondiscrimination law. 

In a betrayal of patients and families, on August 5, 2026, the Department of Justice announced a settlement with CCMC in which the medical center agreed it would not provide well-established medical care for transgender youth for a period of 10 years. Nothing in this settlement agreement prevents our case from moving forward. 

This fight continues – our legal challenge is currently pending in the CHRO. Standing strong in the face of authoritarianism is the best defense. This case is critical to our clients’ access to necessary health care 和 追究那些不必要地向這個政權屈服的人的責任。.
